1. No internet access

DocFort Lite does not request the Android INTERNET permission. You can confirm this in Android under Settings > Apps > DocFort Lite > Permissions, or by inspecting the app's manifest. Without that permission the operating system blocks all network traffic from the app, so no document, image, setting or usage information can leave your phone through the app.

2. Permissions the app asks for

Camera. Requested only when you open the Scan tool, and only used to photograph documents. Camera frames are analysed on your phone to find the edges of the page. No frame is saved unless you choose to keep the scan, and no frame is ever sent anywhere.

The app requests no other runtime permission. It does not ask for storage, contacts, location, microphone, phone or any other access.

3. Your documents

Files you open in DocFort Lite (PDFs, photos and screenshots) are chosen by you through the Android file picker or handed to the app through the share sheet. They are processed entirely on your device and the results are written to the location you pick.

While a tool is running, the app may keep temporary copies of your input and output files in its private cache folder, which no other app can read. You can delete these copies at any time with Settings > Clear cache. Android also removes them when you uninstall the app.

Passwords you enter in the Protect tool are used once to encrypt the file and are not stored.

4. Information stored on your phone

The app keeps a small amount of information in its private storage so that it can work the way you have set it up. None of it leaves the device, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the app.

• Settings: your theme choice, whether glass effects are reduced, whether recent files are remembered, and whether Pro tools are hidden.
• Recent files (optional): the location, name, size, time and tool used for up to 20 recently opened or created files, so the Recent screen can list them. The list never contains the contents of a file. Turn it off under Settings > Remember recent files, or empty it with Settings > Clear history.
• Usage counts: how many times each tool has finished a job, used only to choose the "Most used" card, the home-screen widget and launcher shortcuts. Cleared with Settings > Clear history.
• Widget configuration: which tools each home-screen widget shows.

5. Links to other apps and services

Some actions hand you over to other apps, whose own privacy policies then apply:

• Get DocFort Pro opens the Google Play Store app or website.
• Open or Share on a finished file passes that file to the app you choose.
• Open-source licences shows licence text bundled inside the app and does not go online.

DocFort Lite does not receive any information back from these apps.

6. Google Play

When you install or update the app, Google Play may collect information such as device type, country and crash reports under Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive personal data from Google Play, and the app itself contains no crash-reporting or analytics code.

7. Children

DocFort Lite is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

8. Security

Your documents and the app's settings stay on your device and are protected by your phone's own security (screen lock, encryption and app sandboxing). Because nothing is uploaded, there is no server-side copy that could be lost or breached.

9. Your rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on request. To remove everything the app has stored on your phone, use Settings > Clear history and Settings > Clear cache, or uninstall the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, for example by adding a feature that needs network access, we will update this page, change the effective date above and describe the change in the app's release notes on Google Play.
