At TinyTools, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We designed Retail Labels and Validation with privacy as a core principle. We do not request protected customer data scopes, and we process your data at runtime without storing product information on our servers.
Shopify API Scopes We Request
Our app requests the following read-only Shopify API scopes to provide its services:

Note: All scopes are read-only. Our app does not modify, create, or delete any data in your Shopify store.
Information We Access
When you install and use Retail Labels and Validation, we access the following Shopify store data to provide our services:
Product Data
- Product titles, descriptions, SKUs, barcodes, prices, images, and metafields
- Variant information including pricing and inventory levels
- Accessed in real-time to generate labels and perform validation
- We do not store this information
Transfer Orders
- Transfer order details including origin and destination locations
- Line items and quantities for label generation
- Processed at runtime and not retained
Location & Inventory
- Store location names and addresses
- Inventory levels per location
- Used for display context only
Market Data
- Market-specific pricing information
- Used to ensure accurate pricing on labels
Information We Collect and Store
- 1. Email Addresses:We collect and store email addresses solely for the purpose of sending automated product data health reports that notify you of missing or duplicate product data.
- 2. App Settings:Your custom label designs, templates, and app preferences are stored to preserve your configurations between sessions.
How We Use Your Information
We use the accessed and collected information exclusively for:
- Label Generation: Processing product, transfer order, location, and inventory data in real-time to create and render labels for printing.
- Data Validation: Analyzing product data at runtime to identify missing barcodes, SKUs, descriptions, and duplicate entries.
- Health Reports: Sending automated email notifications about product data issues to the email addresses you provide.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Customer personal information
- Order history or customer purchase data
- Payment or financial information
- Any protected customer data scopes
- Write access to any store data
Data Processing & Retention
All product, inventory, transfer order, and location data is processed at runtime. This means data is fetched from Shopify when you use the app, processed in memory, and not retained after the operation completes.
Retention Policy
- • Operational Data: Not retained.
- • Email Addresses: Retained until you uninstall the app or request deletion.
- • Settings & Templates: Retained while the app is installed.
Upon app uninstallation, we delete your stored email addresses, app settings, and label templates within 30 days.
Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell your data. We do not share information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with service providers (like email delivery services) solely to provide the features you request, or if required by law.
Security Measures: We use secure HTTPS connections, read-only API access, and strictly limit data access. We do not persistently store sensitive store data.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or withdraw consent for health reports.
GDPR (EEA Users)
We process data based on contract performance (app services), legitimate interests (functionality), and consent (health emails).
CCPA (California Users)
We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what we collect and request deletion.
